Im looking for a book that has wise sayings in it. A good book with short quotes in it. Like little sayings in them.

When I was teenager, I thought Omar Khaijan was the aloss of love poemsbsolute supreme, or Herman Hesse. Full of "wisdom", though a bit broody/cheesy/teenage angst stuff by today's standards

I have a few questions that go together that I use as a minister for Alternative/Pagan Religions for members of all ages in the Military and their family members who are searching for their own personal relationship with that which they relate to as a God/Goddess/Deity or Higher Power.
First is for tolerance of other beliefs.
Do different people refer to you in various ways such as Mr.,Mrs., first name or nicknames?
Do you have the same relationship with everyone? (Parents, siblings, friends, co-workers or even checkout person at the store?)
Which relationship is correct and real?
If you can have various relationships with different people and even be referred to in different ways, would it not be arrogant to claim that it is possible for you but not for "god"?
For finding ones personal path I ask about their knowledge, acceptance and tolerance of them self.
I ask them to mquestions quotes and quotesake an honest list and description of them self. Not being judgmental of what is good or bad, just what is. This list is personal and for them self. I can tell how honest a person is in their list by their reaction of showing it to me, which I will rarely read the list. I then ask them to take each item listed and make 2 lists from it. One in which each item could be considered as a strength and useful in their life and another where each item could be used against them or considered as a weakness. There are always both ways to look at any attribute.
When they can honestly look at them self and see that everyone has strengths and weakness, it is all a matter of how one looks at things, learns to deal with them self and accept that a perceived strength can be a weakness and a perceived weakness can actually be a strength that they are able to relate to others as equal but different and also develop the kind if personal relationship with the spiritual aspects of their life in a way that it is an active part of their life and who they are, not just something that they do on certain days or at certain times. It also builds respect for them self with their spirituality. It also builds a tolerance, respect and understanding for others and their personal path.
I try to support each developing a personal path that works in their life based on self knowledge and understanding. When they are able to interact with others who also have different perceptions, the interaction allows each to develop a deeper spirituality on a personal level. The exchange of beliefs and ideas builds bonds that are supportive of one another. When working with military and family of the Soldiers/Airman not only is a strong personal spiritual basis important but also a network that is supportive spiritually as well as in a personal manner can be as important as any other system of support. I have seen some friendships that have bonds on a level of traditional family bonds built based on these principles that are still intact after nearly 2 decades.

long lost love poemsI need a old English Poem about a lost male soul looking for his long lost love..?
I have a project coming up and i have to present it as if i was going to do it in front of a crowd in a public place.. I'm Looking for a poem of a Lost Male Soul who has long passed away and returns to the earth once a year in search for his Long Lost Love.. for details on the figure it doesn't have to be Perfect or even in the poem, but i have to wear a black cloak with black clothing "Shirt, Pants, Shoes", a 5-6 foot sword, and carrying 2-3 Flowers.. Has to be Renaissance era, old English or a translation into English.. along with the original translation..

aggressive cat behavior problemsCat behavior problems, adding 2 more cats? Prozac? EXPERT ADVICE PLEASE! :)?
I have 3 sibling cats, 2 female 1 male. They are all spayed/neutered, of course. They are 3 years old. I fostered their litter for the SPCA (these 3 weren't adopted, so they stayed) and their mother was feral. They are all a bit crazy- 2 of the 3 are VERY sketchy around people and they all hide when anyone comes over. It took them 2 years to warm up to my (live in!) boyfriend... and they still aren't crazy about him (poor guy, he tried so hard!) They jump and run at the slightest sound and spook very easily. One of the females was the runt and her mom disowned her... wouldn't feed her her and removed her from the bed the moment she was born. Thankfully I noticed and was able to feed her formula by syringe.
Now, 3 years later and the little one has some major behavior problems. She is peeing all over the house a few times a week and has been for the last year. (Medical causes have been ruled out, haven't changed litter brands, have eliminated any previous urine smells) She is not close with her 2 siblings (the male and other female are best friends) and I think she gets bullied/left out by them. They get into cat fights occasionally (never serious). The female runt is very aggressive towards neighbourhood cats (mine are indoor cats, but she goes CRAZY when a cat comes to the window/door) None of my cats are very affectionate, they like to be pet but never really cuddle. They spend a lot of the day hiding.
I'm not sure why they are so reclusive.. they always have an immaculate litter box, I play with them daily, they have great quality food, big cat "trees" and baggressive cat behavior problemseds and can have all the attention they want (just choose not to have). I have 2 big dogs and they love the cats, so that isn't an issue. The dogs were there first anyways.
Anyway, I'm starting to think some of her peeing/behaviour problems are caused by feeling bullied by the other 2. Does that seem possible? I volunteer with an animal rescue and would really love to bring 2 more cats home from there. It might be good for the runt to bond with friendly, easy going cats and have friends of her own. However, she seems to hate other cats and wants to fight them whenever she can see them... she gets so worked up if I come up to the window where the other cat is, she'll attack me.
Is it realistic to think adding some members to the fur family would be a good idea? I don't want to give my crazy cats mental breakdowns or make the peeing situation any worse. The 2 new cats would have a separate bedroom (my bedroom) to sleep in at night.
Also any advice on calming your cat down? Has anyone had their cat on prozac? I already have 2 feliway plug ins and it doesn't do much for her.... sorry about the length of the question and if it seems all over the place, it's late and I'm tired!!! :) Thank you to all who answer.

Well, in my opinion, it wouldn't be a good idea to add two more cats to your household when your little female runt isnaggressive cat behavior problems't totally thriving. She'll probably end up getting more stressed because of the two new cats, and you already said that she is very aggressive when it comes to neighbourhood cats.
Because she isn't used to being around other cats she doesn't know [being an indoor cat] it's also likely that the inappropriate elimination problems will get worse, she'll probably pee more around the house, and cause further upset and damage.
I would suggest working with an animal behaviourist/veterinarian before you add any new cats to your house; you don't want the situation to go from bad to worse, right? :)
Personally, I've never had to have any of my cats on Prozac, but one of my cats did have behaviour problems and my vet did suggest Prozac to calm my cat down, but I decided not to put her on it.
Keep in mind though, that not all cats bond well with other cats, so there's a chance that you might never be able to add more cats to your house and have everyone bond well/be comfortable. We're pretty good/close friends. She told me her new years resolution is to get a boyfriend.
I'm good friends with Sharla and her 2 best friends. I like Sharla. (some of my best friends who are girls)
Me, Sharla, and her 2 best friends do a lot of stuff together: like: Go to movies, go get food, go shopping, just hang out, make cookies, go sledding, etc..
Just the 2 of us have gone out twice and got mochas together. 2 days ago I pranked her older sister because she pranked me. Sharla called me and we started talking. She said I should come over, I did. We watched tv and played some wii. When we were watching tv I noticed she was messing with her hands a lot. She had her hair straightened it usually isn't she also had a nice sweater on. I said "nice sweater!" because it was nice. I like her, she looked really pretty, prettier than normal!(I think she did anyways) (I think we both felt akward about it, because we both have never had a boy/girl friend before)
We agreed to 'hang' out again though.
I'm just asking you if she likes me because we usually do stuff as a group and recently it's just been us. (we still do stuff as a group but now me and her get mocha's together).

hm. i think she kinda does like you. how much i'm not sure, but if she looked better than normal when you visited her she probably dolled herself up for you. hanging out more alone is also a good sign. she might have gone with her friends on her own to talk about you two together. i would say keep hanging out with her like that, and gradually grow more flirty over the next two or three weeks. if she hasn't turned you down then, that's when you ask her out on an actual date.

I haven't heard of this stuff...but pretty much the only thing I have ever had work on distemper is chloramphenicol. I don't remember the dosage, but if your dog has distemper I would recommend getting it from your vet. Very high doses of vitamin C might also help. I gave our rescued puppies with distemper 250 mg of vitamin C every two hours except at night (more for adults), but I don't know if it was the vitamin C or the chloramphenicol that pulled them through. CDV is a virus. Chloramphenicol is an antibiotic (abx). Abx only affect bacteria. The only reason the animal needs to be on abx is for bacterial infections, secondary to the virus. Chlora... WILL NOT WORK on the virus, and will produce worse side affects since it enters the CSF of the CNS as well.

On August 18, Brian Milligan Jr., 18, was walking home when he was reportedly attacked at the corner of Genesee Street and Floss Avenue, by between 10 to 15 black men. In addition to being punched and kicked, Milligan’s attackers hit him in the back of the head with a brick.
Amazingly, despite his severe injuries, Milligan managed to stumble the remaining five blocks to his house where he collapsed.
His father, Brian Milligan Sr. told a WGRZ reporter: "I mean, I couldn't believe that a human can lose so much blood and walk home for five blocks. It didn't even look like my son.”
Milligan who spent several days in the Erie County Medical Center, suffered bleeding in his brain and a broken jaw, which will require the reinforcement of a metal plate and reconstructive surgery, the extent of his brain injuries is not yet fully known..
Milligan’s girlfriend Nicola Fisher, who is black, has told police that the two were often threatened and taunted as they walked together through their neighborhood.
Milligan‘s father believes his son‘s relationship with Fisher was the motivation behind the attack. He said: "They're just in love. They just want to be left alone,"
Police are investigating the attack as a hate crime, and Buffalo Police spokesperson Mike DeGeorge told reporters: "The department is vigorously investigating this tragic incident like it does with all crimes in the city. We understand the family's grief and the department is asking anyone with information about this incident to call the confidential tip call [716] 847-2255.”
Despite that assurance from the Buffalo Police, Milligan’s father has expressed his frustration with the current investigation, and recently said: "I don't want to sound wrong, but, what happens if this was a black boy laying up on that bed, and it was twelve white guys that did this to him.”

You and I know for a fact that the people on the east side would be up in arms if it was a black kid. Sure, lovejoy and kaisertown people are very racist to blacks, but the blacks in fillmore district, e. ferry district, etc. don't give a darn about white people (reverse racism).
I'm not afraid. I'm in the BX and coming back to Buffalo. I wrote a letter to the mayor about how disgusted I am. Not at the media, but at the blacks in Buffalo not speaking out.

First let me say that it is wrong no matter what color you are and the sad thing is, it is not being reported because of the interracial relationship. They obviously don't care for the "white" man dating the "black" woman and unfortunately it is like this all over the place. Some people who are racists themselves and authority figures assume that you caused it to happen on your own because of this relationship, and that if you stayed with your own kind you wouldn't have had to go through that beating...it's a sad truth and no matter if the victim is white or black, an unbiased investigation should follow suite. Your thoughts are justifiable, but don't let it cloud your judgment about all people.
Today we are going through trials and tribulations of a new "mixed breed" president and the chaos this has caused could turn into an all out race war. Most allegations or accusations are ridiculous as are those with any interracial relationship. It's sad to find out how "fake" our country is and how we haven't changed for the better at all. For example, I had an idea that I could write a speech pretending that Stephen Colbert (or anyone) was elected president, and it would be their inaugural address. Or another idea was from that whole Miss. South Carolina incident (

chronic sneezing fitsMy cat has chronic sneezing problems, what's wrong?
Well my cat is about 1.5 years old now and since I've had him he's had this sneezing problem when he gets excited or happy, basically when he purrs a lot. It's gotten worse as of late and I'm getting worried! When I got him fixed early last year I told them about it but they never said anything or what it could be. He has a flea allergy and we have him on a flea collar and it's helped more than sprays or powders or drops, but could that still be causing some kind of sneezing fit? Or could it be in the lungs some how? I've never seen this in a cat before and the rest of our cats are fine. I feel bad petting him and giving him attention when he wants because that's when he starts having fits and they've been lasting longer off and on. Tonight it happened for a good half a minute and I recorded it with my phone so I can try to find some kind of help for him. Does anyone have any idea what this could be or where I could find how to treat it and make him better? He's achronic sneezing fits sweet cat.. Please help! (btw I think he's a Birman Ragdoll but I'm really not sure..)
I would not use a flea collar. Frontline or some other monthly application is best as it kills fleas and larvae and eggs in the home.
I have 4 cats, 2 have the chronic sneezing/rhinitis problem. Each one takes an antihistamine every day. They each are on different pills because one has allergies and one has a benign mass in its sinus .
Seems to help although they occasionally wind up on antibiotics because they start sneezing out green mucous(YUCK!)

Is your cat sneezing, or is it more of a hairball kind of reaction. Either way it is not good, please take him to an experienced Vet and try to keep him calm. why did my marriage failIf I did my marriage God's way, why did it fail?
I always thought my past relationships failed because I had sex with them without being married. I thought God was punishing me and making me miserable because I was a slut. So I waited until my wedding night to have sex with my husband, and I ended up even more miserable with him than when I was slutting around. So what was the point?
I tried to be a good wife and do things God's way. I was supportive and obedient and loving and faithful for the first seven years. (I had a cyber affair for the last year of my marriage, but hubby never found out about it.)
A year or two into the marriage, I was more miserable than I had ever been in my life. At church they said that if you're having trouble dealing with life, put God first by reading your Bible and praying to get close to Him and then you'll be able to deal with stuff better. So I did that, and I did get closer to God and things got a little better, but then my hubby lost his job and refused to get a new one. After six years, I finally gave up and called it quits.
So what went wrong? If I did what God wanted me to, then why would He let my marriage fail? Was I just not strong enough? Should I have stayed in the marriage even though I was severely depressed? (I've been a completely different person since I booted him out a few months ago.) If I'm going to be miserable whether I obey God or not, what's the point?
I tried everything to make my marriage work. Even my own minister, who had told us that divorce is not an option when he married us, told me that I should divorce him.
Or maybe God's punishing me for being an adulterous slut. But I was just as miserable for the first seven years I was faithful as I was for the last year I cheated. In fact, I was happier for the last year because I had someone who actually cared about me and paid attention to me.
BTW, there are no kids, thank God. I wouldn't want to be dragging innocent little kids through this mess.

When I was diagnosed with brain tumors and was in the hospital, I asked for some spiritual counseling the night before my surgery. Well, they didn't have a pastor but they did have a nun. So I asked Sister if I was being punished by God for all my earthly sins. Sister asked me a very simple question that stopped me cold. She simply said "Do you think that you deserved to be punished this way?". When I said I didn't know, she responded with "God does not punish His children this way". She went on to tell me that if I had asked God for His forgiveness for my sins then He had already forgiven me and there was nothing to punish me for.
Perhaps instead, God is trying to teach you patience. Believe me I haven't always been the most patient person and I know that God doesn't give me patience but He keeps giving me opportunities to show patience.
Please don't beat yourself up. Take the time that you need to reflect about what YOU want. What makes YOU happy. Take a few months or a year and just focus on you. Stop trying to change yourself or be someone you aren't just to please someone else.
Trust me, when you start to take care of yourself, mentally, physically and spiritually, the right guys will notice. But for right now, focus on your own well-being.

I have no idea what the statistics are but I can give you what I think are the top two ways people kill themselves. The first is Overdosing on drugs, the second is shooting themselves, now as for the different types of suicide I am not sure what you are reffering to, do you mean different ways people can kill themselves or different reasons for suicide?
